Information about erotic power exchange (BDSM) for those confronted with these subjects in their professional life.

~ Editor's Note ~ While the Fetish Club is very much about the visual stimulation that we all enjoy so much, we also want to help our club members and visitors find information that's important to people with these interests. That's why we created the Fetish Information Exchange area to begin with. We're adding all this to the public section so that people can access it without having to be a member. Please feel free to pass these page addresses to anyone you wish. ~ end ~

BDSM, D/s, S&M, bondage, domination, submission

All words that, unfortunately, in many countries still lead to discrimination, outrage, misunderstanding and - most of all - legislation based on stereotypes, prejudgment and ignorance. If you are a politician, policeman or -woman, GP, lawyer, judge, professional therapist, investigator, scientist, social or aid worker, nurse or if you are a journalist, you are very welcome to this little corner on the Internet called the Erotic Power Exchange Information Center where we try to provide neutral, professional information on the subject.

The Erotic Power Exchange Information Center forms a part of the POWERotics Internet site, which in turn is an initiative of the Dutch-based POWERotics Foundation and offers realistic and high-quality information about a subject that may influence the lives of as much as thirty percent of the adult population of the Western and Asian world in some way. POWERotics is a non-profit organization, highly dependent on a small group of active volunteers. Its objective is to provide information on the subject of erotic power exchange between dominant men and submissive women ... the real information - non-pornographic and non-sensational.

POWERotics concentrates on the heterosexual group of dominant men and submissive women only, because this group not only is by far the largest one within the entire erotic power exchange community, but also has very specific dynamics. Having said that, much of what is true and important for this group goes for other groups just as well.

What will you find here? Well, first of all a series of pointers to relevant information for those who are (or may be) in any way confronted with erotic power exchange in their profession. If you are a media professional - journalist, producer or researcher - we will be glad to assist you. For assistance simply email us, using the link at the bottom of this page. When you do, please identify yourself and the subject on which you would like assistance, as well how you will use the information.

What can the EPEIC do for you as a professional?

The Erotic Power Exchange Information Center is a very small organization with limited resources and based on volunteers. Despite these factors the EPEIC tries to communicate non-prejudiced information about the subject. In addition, the EPEIC will always be glad to help answering questions from professionals to the best of its ability or help setting up lectures about the subject.

The small EPEIC staff has experience with giving lectures at police academies, universities, law schools and other institutions in various countries. These are usually presented in English or - if a volunteer from a specific country is available - in another language. The EPEIC can also point to literature or other sources of information available and has experience in assisting lawyers building up individual defense cases, both in criminal and civil cases. Lectures will be given based on travel expenses and a limited fee. For special projects the EPEIC is able to produce informational material at production costs plus a small fee basis.

Special media assistance (pre-production research, production assistance, program development) and intermediation with setting up interviews can be given at standard journalistic rates by media professionals within the EPEIC.

Special arrangements against child pornography

The POWERotics Foundation - the driving force behind the EPEIC - is one of the founders of the International Maledom/femsub Guild, an organization of responsible site owners, dedicated to providing non-judgemental, quality information on the subject of erotic power exchange. On behalf of the Guild and its member sites, the IMfG in cooperation with the EPEIC and the Dutch BDSM Media Information Center, has negotiated a special arrangement with the only (Dutch) organization that - in close cooperation with police forces and government institutions all over the world - has a structured service for Internet site owners, which allows for all IMfG member sites and IMfG affiliates to report suspected cases of child pornography. Such cases will be given follow up by the Dutch authorities who will next contact and inform the local police authorities in the country involved. This arrangement is new and totally unique for the Internet and it is the first structured solution in the BDSM community to fight child pornography on a worldwide basis. As such, the International Maledom/femsub Guild is the first Internet organization in the world that has set up a facility like this. POWERotics - IMfG founding member and based in the Netherlands - facilitates the communication between the IMfG and/or its members in relevant cases. This to cope with possible language problems and specific European legal requirements and to facilitate direct - and if needed off line - communication.
